Job Description Summary
The Principal Workday Analyst serves as a subject matter expert, responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance the effectiveness of the Workday platform. This role is integral to system evaluation and analysis, driving operational improvements within the Spend vertical.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain business process configurations, ensuring documentation and governance models are up to date.
- Requirements Gathering: Prepare detailed business requirements documents to define technical solutions. Manage change requests, present them for approval, and implement design adjustments.
- Data Visualization: Design and deliver dashboards and visualization tools that transform data into actionable insights. Analyze, consolidate, and present large datasets concisely to promote decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance to analysts on the Workday platform, fostering technical and analytical excellence. Review business requirements for accuracy and estimate levels of effort for projects.
- Project Facilitation: Lead projects to ensure timely and successful delivery, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges.
- Technical Expertise: Independently design, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues while ensuring alignment with operational needs.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of Workday sustainment experience, including configuration or implementation (preferably with a Partner).
- Workday procurement experience preferred.
- 6+ years of business operations experience within a vertical area.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of equivalent relevant experience.
- Workday Pro certification or implementation certification from a Partner is highly desirable.
